Sarah Bailer

I am a Registered Occupational Therapist with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (#2987).

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy through the University of Alberta in 2004 and my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science through McMaster University in 2010.

I have a broad range of experience working with children in home, school, clinical, and community settings in Central and Northern Alberta. Throughout my career I have worked with children of all ages and a wide range of diagnoses.

In my work with children and families I focus on understanding and supporting challenges in areas such as emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, feeding, sleeping, and toileting. I am passionate about helping families to understand and address any underlying difficulties that may be impacting a child’s participation in the activities, routines, and relationships that are important to them and working collaboratively with both children and caregivers to develop creative solutions to help address these challenges. I am passionate about using a neurodiversity affirming and strengths based approach to help children continue to learn, grow, and thrive in ways that best match their unique needs.

I have pursued many opportunities for continued education and developing my skills. I have additional training and experience in sensory processing, interoception, trauma, executive functioning, neurodiversity, and emotional regulation.
